KARUNAMURTI

KARUNAMOORTHY
G. Venkataraman, Chennai

Puis Swamiji a dit :

Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar is KARUNAMOORTHY. We are all fortunate to come under HIS GRACE. He showers His abundant love on all His devotees. He showers His love on all alike without expecting anything from us. Once we surrender totally to Him and have complete faith in Him, Bhagavan will take care of us in all our activities. I would like to narrate an experience where Bhagavan showered His love and affection on us.

In 1988, I took up a job in the Middle East with permission from Bhagavan. When I was describing the job to Bhagavan, the immediate question He asked was " Is it possible to take your wife Muktha and children with you?" I replied, "Yes, Swamiji, but it will take at least 6 to 8 months to get the visa process completed." Only then, Bhagavan with lot of blessings gave me permission to accept the job.

I joined my work in Saudi Arabia in February 1988 and after completing my probation period applied for family visa. It took a lot of time to prepare the documents, with Arabic translation and notary attestation etc. and in the month of November 1988 I got the visa slip from my office. I planned my one-month vacation in the Month of November and I came to my native place with the hope that while returning, I would take my family with me. I applied for getting the visa stamped, through a travel agent, immediately after coming to India. I visited Tiruvannamalai and met Swamji and told Him all that had happened. He heard everything and blessed us a lot.

There was a problem in getting the visa stamped for my second daughter who was only 15 months old at that time. Her name was added in my wife's passport. The Saudi consulate wanted a separate passport for her. Only then stamping of visa was possible as per some new rules framed at that time. I applied for a new passport for my daughter. I met the passport officer in Trichy and explained in person, the need for an immediate issue of a new passport.
I received a new passport in 15 days and applied again for visa. Three weeks of my vacation had already been spent and only 5 days were remaining for me to leave. I thought I might not be able to take my family with me. Completely confused, I went to Tiruvannamalai to have Darshan of Swamiji. Since I had already informed Swamiji through a letter that we would be coming to have Darshan, Swamiji was waiting for us in the Sannadhi Street House. We reached Sannadhi Street at 10.30 a.m.

Swamiji was sitting in the veranda. He called us inside and after namaskarams He asked us to sit in front of Him close to the wall. The very first question was " Did you get the visa, Venkatarama for Muktha and Children?" I was waiting for the moment and I explained in detail all that had happened. He then asked, " When are you leaving?" " On Wednesday, Swamiji, I replied. "To day is what day?" Swarniji asked. " Friday, Swamiji " I replied. He then asked many questions about my work in Saudi Arabia and about my routine, food, facilities etc. Around 11.30 a.m. there was total silence. No questions and answers. Bhagavan's face became red. He was staring at us. His lower jaw moving and His thumb was rubbing on His finger fast. This situation continued for about half an hour. Then Swamiji said, " I leave you all, Venkatarama. My father blesses all of you !" Then He individually wished each one of us saying, "Vidhya will have a comfortable journey! Anusha will have a comfortable journey! Muktha will have a comfortable journey! Venkatarama will have a comfortable journey!" He gave prasadams, opened the gate for us and let us go outside and blessed us raising hands till we reached the main road. We returned with full happiness that I
definitely take my family with me.

We reached home around 9 p.m. and then I was discussing with my father all that had happened with Swamiji. It was around 10 p.m. there was a knock the door. We received a telegram from the Travel agent who was working for the visa that the visa had been stamped at 12 noon that day and that they would get the passport the next day. He advised us to collect the passport before departure. What a leela of Bhagavan! Though He was physically with us in the Sannadhi Street House at 12 Noon on that day, He was so silent and working so much to get the visa stamped ! This could be the only reason why Bhagavan became serious when we were sitting with Him at 12 noon. We informed this to Bhagavan the very next day.

Bhagavn's leela did not end with this. On the day of travel, we completed the travel formalities and entered the aircraft and got accommodated in our allotted seats by the air-hostess. After some time, a few minutes before the departure time, a man with white beard and in a white robe came to us and asked if we were comfortable. We said, "yes". Then he said 'Follow me with your luggage." He took us to the first class and offered four seats and said, "Be more comfortable here." I am sure it is not common in an aircraft and that too in an international airline to accommodate economy class passengers in first class. It was only because of Bhagavan who blessed us individually that we would have a very comfortable journey. We did not see that man with white beard afterwards until we reached the Dhahran airport.

At the airport, we slowly collected our hand baggage and walked to the lounge to complete the Immigration formalities. When we reached, there were four queues and at least 100 people in each queue! We stood in one queue and had to wait for our turn. I was telling my wife that unless Bhagavan wished, it would not be possible for us to complete the formalities earlier than one hour. It would take at least another two and half hours to reach home. (The car journey from the airport to the residence was an hour.) It was at that time the man with the white beard appeared again and came towards us. He broke the queue just in front of me and asked us to move and stand at the fifth counter, which was opened at that moment. We were the first to complete the immigration formalities and we were out of the airport in 20 minutes! We reached home safely. We felt that Bhagavan was travelling with us and ensured that we arrived home safely and comfortably. We felt that Swamiji had showered his abundant love, affection and blessings on all our family members.

This incident shows that once we totally surrender to Him, He will guide us perfectly and take us smoothly through the journey of our entire life.
